Thought.. of Audre Lorde, Read with understanding…
“I was going to die, sooner or later, whether or not I had even spoken myself. My silences had not protected me. Your silences will not protect you…. What are the words you do not yet have? What are the tyrannies you swallow day by day and attempt to make your own, until you will sicken and die of them, still in silence? We have been socialized to respect fear more than our own need for language.”
I began to ask each time: “What’s the worst that could happen to me if I tell this truth?” Unlike women in other countries, our breaking silence is unlikely to have us jailed, “disappeared” or run off the road at night. Our speaking out will irritate some people, get us called bitchy or hypersensitive and disrupt some dinner parties. And then our speaking out will permit other women to speak, until laws are changed and lives are saved and the world is altered forever.
Next time, ask: What’s the worst that will happen? Then push yourself a little further than you dare. Once you start to speak, people will yell at you. They will interrupt you, put you down and suggest it’s personal. And the world won’t end.
And the speaking will get easier and easier. And you will find you have fallen in love with your own vision, which you may never have realized you had. And you will lose some friends and lovers, and realize you don’t miss them. And new ones will find you and cherish you. And you will still flirt and paint your nails, dress up and party, because, as I think Emma Goldman said, “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution.” And at last you’ll know with surpassing certainty that only one thing is more frightening than speaking your truth. And that is not speaking.”

THE VIOLENCE IN JAMAICA
It's sad how such a beautiful country can be so violent against their own black brothers and sisters, the violence in Jamaica has struck the country's growth.
DOES IT AFFECT THE TOURIST AREA?
Well, you are all free to share your thoughts but in my opinion, it affects us in terms of our credentials, acceptance and mainly it scars the reputation of all good and bad, mainly because it flows through a stream which we all know comes from a spring!
IS THIS SPRING COMING FROM HIGHER HEADS?
The question again is the influence of the violence in Jamaica coming from the higher heads of the country...
Higher heads as in Government Officials or THOSE WITH MONEY!
The violence does spring from the government in terms of the education system and the corruption that is a plague spreading throughout our country. This Plague starts from some of the highest of officials, the fact is 1600+ lives... which are only the ones we know of, where taken last year and not of ill health!!!
Most of these people were at some point friends or somewhat associates, so we have evolved from just turf war and gangs, we now on the level of dollars and cents war.
The violence in Jamaica is a must if all there is to do is work for minimum wages or "hustle" as an 'entrepreneur or on a 9-5'. it is understood that the country may NOT have the capital to offer good jobs for all.
however, the mass amount of Jamaicans even those who are considered uneducated all have a skill or a talent.
Many have great ideas and abilities. .. yet have nowhere to turn to to get assistance or resources.
let's face the fact that the world is two-sided and not the people sometimes ones on the good side cross over as do bad ones. the loan companies are for themselves yet they claim it's to benefit people, the government lacks facilities to really assist young scholars and entrepreneurs in their ventures. teach young ones and guide them in the industry they pursue.
I Mean even some Internet facilities to teach about e-commerce, crowdfunding, charity events to encourage and motivate them in the right direction.
it's not all about highway, streets and Chinese businesses.
Anyway back to music...
